ColourPop Yes, Please Eyeshadow Palette Review + Giveaway

Summertime means warm air, longer nights, and tons of amazing makeup launches! I’ve kept my spending to a minimum this year (at least for my standards), but as soon as I saw the ColourPop Yes, Please Eyeshadow Palette, I had to have it. This baby is limited edition, and sold out within minutes, but there will be a restock. So, I decided to feature a review in case this beauty is on your radar!

PURCHASED BY ME/AFFILIATE LINKS

ColourPop Yes, Please Palette

Retailing for just $16, this beautiful warm palette features twelve buttery smooth shadows. It has a mixture of mattes and metallics, each one swatching and applying beautifully. You’ll notice that every shade leans very warm, with a lot of reds and burgundies. There are a lot of new palettes with this color scheme, so it’s definitely trendy, though not very easy to pull off. But, I’ll get into that later!

As you can see, there are no shade names under the shadows. Thankfully, ColourPop added them to the back, though personally I prefer them printed inside the actual palette. The formula of every single shade is extremely smooth, easy to blend, and there’s little fall out. You will experience some kick up when you swirl your brush into the mattes, but they don’t produce a mess on the eyes (and that’s really what matters).

I’ve given this palette a fair chance, wearing it every day for about a week. My looks last all day, with zero creasing or fading (over a primer), and I love that there’s a nice mixture of crease and transition shades. However, there is definitely a lack of lid shades. You can pop any of these all over the lids, but you’ll probably look like you have the flu. They are very warm, and most very red, so wearing them all over – versus just a pop in the crease or transition, can be tricky.

Still, I really enjoy the formula and performance of these shadows. Not to mention the extremely wallet friendly price, so I do highly recommend it. For me, it’s paired perfectly with my Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette. I can use a light shade from that on my lids, and a warmer shade from this in my crease and outer corner. I’ll be featuring a look next week, so stay tuned for that!
